CHALLENGE
Mercedes challenged our team with the need to avoid increasing their training budget while expanding delivery to include both the desktop PC and mobile devices and in a dual-use configuration that provides a full course and stand-alone micro-modules usable in small, specific bursts.
SOLUTION
CM developed a Reusable Learning Object (RLO) content and Responsive UI .HTML5 design that accomplished the objectives. This supported traditional, full course delivery from their LMS and on-demand access through their EdApp mobile application. We achieved this inside a budget comparable to what used to yield only a traditional Flash eLearning course.
We used this approach on the 28 courses developed for MB in the last 12 months.
BENEFITS
100% of Mercedes WBT courses are now being developed with this dual use strategy with their LMS providing access to the full version and EdApp providing access to mobile micro-modules.
