CraneMorley Earns Two Top Creative Awards

For Subaru Institute of Technology

January 10, 2020 – Long Beach, California – CraneMorley kicks off the new year with two top creative awards for developing Subaru’s Institute of Technology blended learning initiative:

  • Summit EMA Visionary Award for emerging technology from the SIA
  • AVA Platinum Award from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals

“Our initial challenge was how to bring to life Subaru’s innovative core technology in training rooms across the country without vehicles.  CraneMorley met this challenge with a comprehensive library of virtual reality (VR) experiences, including “flying” through the inside of a boxer engine while observing all its functions,” explained CraneMorley president Thomas Pratt.  “We were then challenged with reaching out to retailers unable to attend the instructor-led training with an online version that now includes the VR media, a competitive game and a mobile search tool that, after training, can be used at work to answer customer questions in an engaging way.”

Summit EMA Visionary Award: began in 2007 and evolved through a need to recognize and celebrate creativity, innovation and those pushing the bounds of creative excellence in all forms of emerging media.  The competition included more than 1,100 entries from eight countries of which 6% received recognition.

AVA Platinum Award: is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), one of the oldest, largest, and most respected evaluators of creative work in the marketing and communication industry.
